1. The Information You Provide and What We Do With It

We do collect your personal information that is voluntarily submitted (including name, email address, phone, etc.) with any purchase, account created, or newsletter signup.

While visiting bariatricity.com, certain data is automatically collected through the web server you’re using receiving IP addresses, browser types (Firefox, Chrome etc.), browser versions and various pages that users are visiting. We may store cookies from your computer when you are on our website.

Our website may link to other websites outside your control or ownership.

2. Your Consent

When you submit any personal information, we imply that by voluntarily providing your information that you consent to the collection and use of that information for that intended reason (ie. place an order, complete transaction, purchase delivery, etc.).

If any additional information is needed for any other purpose than intended, you have the option to opt out or decline, if we do not ask for consent directly.

4. Third Party Platforms We Use

Our website is hosted on Bluehost. This platform provides us the ability to use our website and 3rd party WordPress plugin, Woocommerce. It is an e-commerce platform to sell products or services to visitors.

Your data is stored through Bluehost’s data storage, databases, and the general Woocommerce plugin. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

5. Payment

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Paypal, Stripe, or Bluehost may store your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

6. Your Security

We recognize that your privacy is important. To ensure this, we employ security measures (as described throughout our Privacy Policy) to prevent the loss, misuse, and alteration of any personal information that is in our control. We take reasonable measures and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

If you become aware of any unauthorized use of your password, you are responsible for contacting us to request deactivation of your password.
